The Headlee Family Foundation offers scholarships to students participating in Dublin Coffman High School athletics programs. Long time pillars of the Dublin community, the Headlee Family has supported Dublin Coffman athletics in many ways over the years.
The Headlee Family Foundation began as the Bill Headlee Memorial sports scholarship program, in honor of Bill’s lifetime commitment to Dublin High School sports and students. Although not a gifted athlete himself, Bill was known for many years as “Dublin’s #1 Sports Fan” thanks to his never-ending dedication to Dublin sports. Bill was instrumental in founding the Dublin Athletic Boosters, which has since spun off into multiple booster programs for many different teams. Later, Bill was a driving force behind the Dublin Athletic Hall of Fame. In 2002 Bill was inducted into the Dublin Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his significant contributions to Dublin’s sports programs. When Bill passed away in 2007, the Headlee Family established the Bill Headlee Memorial sports scholarship program, later known as the Bill and Roger Headlee Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship program became what is now The Headlee Family Foundation, which continues to offer scholarships to students participating in Dublin Coffman’s athletic programs.
